so to start the week off I bet you didnt know
John Allen Hendrix was born in 1942 in the wonderful city of Seattle, Washington. While his father James Hendrix was away in World War II he was raised by his mother.Sadly when he returned from the war his father, divorced his mom and renamed him “James Marshall”. Jimi didnt become the Jimi we know today until 1966 when he was suggested to change his name by the bassist of a band called “The Animals”.
