samurai champloo by far is the dopest anime i’ve ever seen, Like for real if you’ve never seen samurai champloo you should just get out your laptop, ipad, imax theatre or whatever you have and watch it. The style that the animation is done in is really cool, the music that is played in the show goes so well with like fighting scenes AND just the story in general of trying to find the sunflower samurai was awesome. I know I could go on forever about this great samurai anime but check these out.
If your a fan of cool samurai animes like I am then check out samurai champloo. I mean if not just do it for mugen being a badass every second of his life.
Samurai Champloo is one of my favorite anime out there. Bleach, Kenichi, and Afro Samurai are also my favorites.
ah nice dude ive never heard of kenichi, i might have to check it out 😀 but samurai 7 is another good one too
Kenichi is a family favorite. I’ve heard of Samurai 7 but haven’t watched any. Gonna have to check it out. I’ve heard good stuff about it.
Ah man check out samurai 7 because its great, its got more of a mix of futuristic and traditional feel to it though. I like it ;p.
I will. I’m sure I can talk my wife into watching it. She is the anime person in the family.

Champlooo. Love it. Cowboy Bebop is another. Kenichi is hilarious(sub)
Gotta love Cowboy Beebop. The opening animation with the song “Tank” is excellent.
Ah tank is my favorite anime opening of all time. It fits really well with the animation of cowboy bebop ;p
After posting this I checked ITunes and downloaded Tank! by the Seatbelts and the Real Folk Blues by Mai Yamane. As you might expect they are longer than what you hear on Cowboy Bebop.
Samurai Champloo is cool in that it plays like it knows it’s cool. I like how it’s infused with a modern hip-hop atmosphere.
exactly, samurai champloo was very cool to me because of how they added those graffiti and hip hop elements to it at the same time being an awesome story about samurai’s. I will forever love champloo.
Not to mention, Samurai 7 is of course a remake of Kurosawa’s The Seven Samurai, reworked into a slightly futuristic setting. The movie was also remade in the West as The Magnificent Seven.
Samurai Champloo I liked, but I’ve not finished it yet. One I really enjoyed that isn’t very mainstream, and is low action, was House of Five Leaves – gorgeous style, basically a multi-character character study, with the story unfolding slowly over the 10 or 12 episodes.
I still prefer the old school. Gimme Bubble Gum Crisis or Ghost in the Shell or Ninja Scroll. By the way, thanks for reading my blog.
This was too cool! We have a lot of anime books around, “Bleach” and stuff from years ago. We are also huge martial arts/Bruce Lee/MMCA fans! Woof! (tail wags) Love, Maggie the Pitbull
when i want to seduce someone into the wonderous world of anime, this is the one i start with. how can you not love fuu?
EXACTLY. thats what i’m saying fuu is the most lovable character in that show ;3 and mugen is still a badass.
